13 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 13th December [1892]. The weather looked like changing. It blew in the morning but Passini came all the same & I sat to him all the morning. After lunch Henry & Ola went out to call on Mme de Hurtado in the gondola so I took a walk but it began to rain just as I started & it came down pretty hard. I went to Rietti’s & on to the Edens to get Mr Eden to give me the right measures for a chimney I want to alter as the fire does not burn well. Just as I was coming away I met Ersilia Canevaro & she offered to send me home in her gondola wh I accepted. I played the harmonium in the evening. | |
