27 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 27th December [1892]. We were all awakened late this morning & Ola & I both remained in bed. I wrote a lot of letters. We got up for luncheon but Ola had to return to her bed being so tired. I took a walk with Monty—left cards & went to Favenza to borrow a little miniature frame to copy for the Empress. At the Piazza we were met by the gondola & in it went to call on the Edens to enquire after Mr Eden who was very suffering last night found him better. Woods & Fischer came to tea.
