29 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 29th [December 1892]. Wrote letters all morning. Ola still in bed. After lunch Henry & I went to our church & Monty gave us an organ recital & Stella accompanied on the violin. A good many English were there. I went afterwards with the Dyers to the Piazza to see if Clerle had any better silks than Rietti but found nothing I cared for. Brought Stella back to read to Henry. The Dyers dined with us & Stella & Monty tried over some of Grieg’s sonatas & Beethovens. | |
