31 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 31st December [1892]. I had rather a headache—got up late & did not go out all day. Ola & Monty went to meet the Dyers at Mr & Mrs Moscheles to see the autographs of Beethoven & Mendlessohn & Henry joined them at Ca’ Alvisi where they had some music. Mr Dyer came to tea with me– It was very cold & snow threatens. We finished the year quietly dined alone & went early to bed—after several games of patience. | |
