5 January 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 5th January [1893]. Splendid weather. I got out stuff & tried to arrange my studio for painting a little picture & by lunch time thought I had fixed what I liked. After lunch Henry went out with Ola & I went in gondola to pay some visits. Went to Olga Montenegro to wish her a Happy (Greek) Christmas. Called also on Mme Rombo who was in. Home to tea. Css Brandolin & her daughter & Ida Bel: came to tea. Our fireplace in the dining room is arranged & we dined downstairs. Patience in eveng. | |
