7 January 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 7th January [1893]. Splendid day again. We lunched at one & Henry & I went to fetch the Dyers to go to the Lido with us. Only Stella came. We went to the Favorita & sent the gondola to meet us at the Quattro Fontane. The sea was blue the sun bright. It was not very cold. We left Stella at Ca’ Alvisi & went to see the Edens & had tea with them. I read aloud to Henry. The Belmondos, Mrs Eden, the Curtis, Count Canevaro & Mr Reuben dined with us. | |
