11 January 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 11th [January 1893]. Dull day & it snowed most of the day tho’ the snow did not lie. Did not either of us go our. Mr Browning & Mr Penrice came to tea & I payed over to the latter the Chaplain’s Fund subscriptions I have been collecting for him. Henry gave up going to Stella to be read to. I read to him. Princess Olga Montenegro dined with us upstairs in my studio. | |
