12 January 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 12th [January 1893]. Wrote letters all the morning. I went out with Henry after lunch to the Piazza. It was very fine but so cold that we could not remain there but came back at once– Henry went to Missiaglia’s to fetch the bracelet with three Assyrian cylinders which he had set for Stella. He went to her at 5 to be read to & took it to her. I stayed at home to tea. I received a note from Mr Malcolm & the key of his garden. He said he had had a duplicate made on purpose for me that I might use it when ever I liked to walk there. Idita & Marchese Bentivoglio & the Belmondos dined with us. After the Bents were gone we discussed with the Belmondos about the musical party we want to give to the Dss of Genoa.
