3 March 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 3rd March [1893]. Gardened. Lunched at 1. & at 2 Henry & I went in gondola to the Lido. Ola came in the sandolo & brought little Onda Hulton with her– We went to the Favorita & walked to S. Elisabetta to join our gondolas. Splendid weather—quite spring. I read aloud to Henry coming & going. After tea Baroness Krauss & Mme Hellenbach came to thank me about the Bouquet & to say I must telegraph an answer to the Despine wh I did. We had Trios in the eveng & Tirindelli played the violin part. They played Trios of Hummel & Schuman & part of one by Mendelssohn. The Andrés came to it. | |
