27 October 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 27th October [1893]. I was in bed all day with a headache. The weather had turned to scirocco & it rained. I had promised to go out with Pss Charlotte at 2 & Henry & Nela had to go instead of me. I got up on the sofa for tea. Princess Charlotte & her lady Fraulein v. Rauch & her gentleman Herr v. Roederer dined with us, also Adl & Mme Noce, Mr Brown & Mr Woods. The Pss smoked after dinner & left abt 10 o’cl. | |
