10 December 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 10th December [1893]. Went to morning church & took Iduna in passing. I did not go out again. Wrote a lot of letters. Henry went out in gondola & called on Mrs Bronson who told him she had been staying at Asolo & heard all the details of Mr & Mrs Browning’s dissensions. I am more convinced than ever that Mrs Browning is mad– Mr Woods came to call & promises to come to our studio tomorrow morng. Mrs Leigh dined with us. Mr Dyer excused himself as he has a bad cold.
