17 January 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 17th [January 1894]. I went to the studio—but had no model & had finished the still life so I did not stay long. Prepared a canvass to begin on tomorrow. Came home practised the guitar. Mrs Bronson called after lunch on her way from the station where she had seen Edith off. I offered to walk with her & we went to the Zattere & then I accompanied her to her house & went on home. Henry did not go out & sat in the green drawing room. I had tea in the music room– Css Julia Persico & Capt Richere came to call & later Mr Montalba came. Mr & Mrs Hulton, Professor & Mme Thode & Ct & Css Lutzow dined with us.
