24 March 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 24th March [1894]. Easter Even. Went to the studio & worked all the morning. Katie Colnaghi left us & returned to her home at Florence by the early train leaving at 9.50. Afternoon Henry took Nety for a row & we met at the Church at 4 ocl to practise for the choir singing for tomorrow. Nety led, Mrs Hulton & I sang alto. Nety & I walked home with George. Finished reading to Henry the Memoires de Saint Simon which has taken us abt 2 years to get thro’. | |
