29 March 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 29th [March 1894]. Went to the German shop to buy an easel & then to the studio. Walked home. M. & Mme Androutzos (she née Tripp) came to call after lunch & to see the pictures. At 3.30 went out in open gondola with Nety & Henry. Left some cards. Paid a visit to Mme Rombo, Css Morosini’s mother who has been ill of late & Henry & I went to a tea party at Pss Hatzfeldt where we found all the world’s wife. Came home & read aloud to Henry before dinner. Played Halma with Nety in the evening—the young ones went out. | |
