Sunday. 15th April [1894]. Lady Gregory & her boy Robert arrived from Ireland about 8 o’clock before I was out of bed. Maria came to call in the morng also Edward Ponsonby & Charlie & Connie Eliot. The latter stayed to lunch. In the afternoon—Sir Arthur Otway called. Henry got up for the first time & went to my room & lay on the sofa. Sir Arthur went up to see him also Mr Sydney Colvin. Richard Du Cane & Issie came to tea. Nellie Alderson dined with us—& we sat up with Henry & in my bed room in the evening. Henry was up from 3 to 6. It was cold & windy & showery. Before dinner I took a walk up to Regent’s Park with Olwen Ponsonby just to get a little exercise. | |
