29 April 1894 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Sunday. 29th [April 1894]. We all rested & had breakfast in our rooms & got up late– Mr Woods R.A. came to call just after luncheon & went up to see Henry who was not quite so well & was suffering a little pain. Later came Ethel Cadogan & she also paid him a visit then Mr Lecky– Nelly Alderson & Mr Fraser called. He is reading for diplomacy. Mr Herbert Thompson & Mr John Murray came & Henry also saw them—but he was very tired by the evening. Blanche, Edward, Mama & Nelly A dined with us & Edward sat a little while with Henry but he was tired & rather suffering. Before dinner I took a walk in Regent’s Park with Augusta.
