Henry remained in my bedroom sitting in the armchair when he got up. At 4 Nela & I went for a drive. Called on Amy Percival née Layard & found her at home– Left a note at the House of Lords inviting Huntly to dine. Went to Seymour St to pick up Augusta Gregory & we drove to Gr Ormond St to a “mothers’ meeting” where Lady Gregory gave a surprise tea. I took my guitar with me & sang to the mothers while they were at tea. Mr & Mrs Cecil Smith were there & he had brought his banjo & sang also. It was a warm day but there were constant heavy showers. We got home at 7.30 & I found that Mr A.
