27 July 1894 — Chenies | |
Friday. 27th July [1894]. Breakfasted in bed. Up at 11. Wrote in the morning room a lot of letters till luncheon. Had a headache & after lunch had to give in & lie down in the dark—& then had my first real cry. I was better afterwards & got up at 6 & went for a walk in the garden with Maria. Nurse has meals with us. I am teaching her to knit– I have also taken to my embroidery since Blanche was here– The piece I bought at Milan last year that Henry admired so much– | |
