19 August 1894 — Bere Cottage, Bere Regis, Dorset | |
Sunday. 19th August [1894]. Nelly & I went to church at 11. In the afternoon Arthur again began Besique & insisted on my playing. At 4 went for a walk to the keeper’s lodge & went thro’ the wood to see the pheasants fed– There were quantities & they came out to feed. We went back to the keepers & had tea in the lodge then walked home. More besique after dinner till bed time. | |
