9 October 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 9th October [1894]. Talked to Cortelazzo who breakfasted with us—lunched with the servants & returned to Vicenza by middle day train. At 11 A.M. Signor Astolfi & the Notary Signor Marrocchia came & brought me the paper to sign about the duties to be paid on the house. After lunch Ola & I went in gondola to the Fondamenta Nuove landed & walked up & down for some time & then returned home by S. Pietro & the Grand Canal. Ola went out in sandolo & I had tea & received Mme Noce the wife of the Admiral who wanted to see me. Dined at 8. Patience. | |
