17 October 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 17th October [1894]. I spent nearly all the morning trying to arrange or sort the M.S. of Henry’s Early Adventures which I found in a corner of the library. After lunch the day being lovely I went with Ola to the Eden’s garden & found Mr Eden & May Parnell. I walked about with Mr Eden & he picked me some chrysanthemums which are just coming out but are not very fine this year. Genl de Horsey came at 4 & Mrs Eden also just as Ola & I were leaving. I came home to tea, Ola went out again in sandolo. M. & Mme Wiel came to tea with me. Ola read in eveng & I played patience. | |
