18 October 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 18th October [1894]. I spent the morning putting together all the MS I could find– It was a dull rainy day. I did not go out but sat at home & worked. Count Belmondo came to tea having just returned to Venice. Iduna is still in the country. He was anxious to hear all about Henry & I told him the whole sad story. A very wet night & we had a fire lit after dinner. Ola read aloud. I played patience. | |
