18 November 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 18th November [1894]. Blanche remained in bed till after lunch so I sat with her while the others went off to church. It was very foggy all the morning but suddenly cleared up after lunch so Edward & I went to see the Edens at their garden—found them & Miss Parnell & walked on the Sacca with them & returned home to tea & brought Edith Bronson with us as she came to the garden just at the time we were abt to leave– Mr Moore came to call & Olga Montenegro. The latter was very depressed & I took [her] up to my room to talk to her & then persuaded her to remain & dine with us. Blanche who was quite recovered this evening sang to Olga after dinner.
