29 November 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 29th [November 1894]. I spent the morning writing &c in the library. Ola went out to Mme Wiel. Lunch at 1 & at 2 went to Idunas in the sandolo & from there we walked to the Public gardens & back to the Piazzetta—found the gondola which brought us home– Passing an antiquity shop I bought an old portrait for 10 fcs which I want to give to Css Pisani to decorate her walls. Ola went & paid for & brought it home. Mme Wiel came to tea. Ola took her home in the gondola & went on to see Css Pisani. I wrote before dinner. After Ola played piano. I played patience. | |
