28 January 1895 — Aswan | |
Monday. 28th January [1895]. I painted on the Sethi in the morng. Lady Victoria was not well & remained with me. The rest went to the bazaars together & went for a sail on the river in the afternoon. I packed– Sat on the Sethi most of the day & went on board the Rameses abt 5 with Lady Victoria. Elaine, Miss Lambton & Mr Mossop went for a sail. There was a great crowd on board our ship & the dinner was very noisy. Played dominoes & taught the young people. | |
