31 January 1895 — Luxor | |
Thursday. 31st January [1895]. Elaine & I spent the morning beginning a sketch in oils a view of the Nile & a bit of Luxor temple. After lunch we went over the Luxor temple taking Roberts to look after us & then took a walk by the river. We met an Arab guide Mohammed Achmed who had attached himself to our party when we were first here—& arranged to take him to go to Karnak on Saty. Today was the hottest day we have had. | |
