8 April 1895 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 8th April [1895]. Wrote & did accounts in the morning. Css Pisani left for the country & Ola went to station at 1.30 to see her off. There was a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Elaine & I did not go out. Mrs Hulton called & Mr & Mrs Bagwell, Irish neighbours of my sister Blanche. Mrs & Miss Roger came to tea being in Venice on their way from Rome. Later came the Dss della Grazia the 1st time we had met since my sorrow began. | |
