12 June 1895 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Wednesday. 12th [June 1895]. Breakfasted in bed at 8 & got up at 10. Had a hunt after my keys which I have lost. Henry often said “What would you do if you had not me to look after you.” He was right & I am very careless & miss him more & more every day. Blanche & her girl Onie came to see me after lunch & at 3.30 I drove out & dropped them at their home. Driving down Bond St I saw Monty, stopped the carriage & had a talk with him & then I went to to Q. Anne’s Mansions to see Lady Gregory & took her out driving with me & brought her home with me to tea. Mildred Mansell (Arthur’s daughter) came also—& stayed some time. I went out for a walk. Went to call at 25 Park Crescent but they were all out. Arthur Du Cane came to see me & asked me to go to tea with him on Friday. I dined alone & played patience. No signs of my keys!
