19 June 1895 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Wednesday. 19th [June 1895]. Eda & I did accounts all the morning. Maria came to see me & to tell me that Mr Everest Hambro had apologised to her son Dacre for his treatment of him when he left Hoskier’s bank at Paris & which is a great feather in Dacre’s cap. We were just finishing lunch Eda & I when her brother Monty appeared from Hatfield where he is curate to Lord Edward Cecil & we 3 drove out together & we called on Lady Gregory at Queen Anne’s Mansions & then returned home to tea & Monty A. left at 5 to return to Hatfield. Eda Alderson dined out & went to a concert. My sister Constance dined with me. At 11 Eda returned dressed & went to a party at her aunt Lady Salisburys & Connie went home & I to bed.
