10 April 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 10th April [1896]. Aline not being better I sent for Dr Cini. I had a headache myself & stayed in bed till 12 when I got up to go to hear what Cini thought of Aline. He looks grave & thinks it is a threatening of nephritis. After lunch I went to see Css Pisani & found her in bed. Iduna came also to call & was admitted & we 3 had tea together & then Iduna took me home in her gondola. Eda had gone out with Bertha up the Campanile. We sat with Aline in the evening who was rather ill & had a very bad headache– The King & Q arrived in eveng just after dark. | |
