22 April 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 22nd [April 1896]. A desultory morning—potting plants, writing, seeing after Aline &c. Mrs Rate went out to the Frari. The sposi went to Murano with Sigr Castellani. After lunch we all went out to the Eden’s garden & there met Clara & Hilda Montalba & the Poet Laureate & Mrs Austin. Returned home at 5. Baroness Mayneri came to tea. | |
