Wednesday. 13th [May 1896]. Sat for my portrait in the morning—but not again in the afternoon which I employed in copying the Holy Family by Bissolo– Just as I had finished it I spoilt it all to my great disgust– After tea Augusta & I went out in gondola to the Eden’s garden– No one was there so we walked about & picked flowers. The Edens were absent. | |
