2 June 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 2nd June [1896]. Breakfasted at 8.45 & at 9.10 Mr Eden called for us in his yacht & took us to S. Erasmo to his farm. There & then out towards the sea but we did not get as far as the end of the diga—& were home again abt 12. Painted till lunch. West out & met Iduna & she got into my gondola & went with us. Count Seckendorff came to stay here & arrived just before dinner. A lovely hot night & we all 3 went out in gondola after dinner. | |
