Saturday. 20th [June 1896]. Painted fan in morning. Finished reading aloud to each other I promessi sposi. Had a visit from Mrs Bronson who seems much better in health. Went out in gondola as far as the Riva Schiavoni but had to hasten home as a thunderstorm came up & we only just got in in time to escape a heavy shower. | |
