15 July 1896 — Villa Mier, Belluno | |
Wednesday. 15th [July 1896]. Got up at 7 & was ready to go out at 8 & then found Sophy was not very well & could not go so I went only a short way in the fields to pick wild flowers. We lunched at 12 & Sophy read aloud to me Gilman’s Rome & I copied afterwards a good deal of Cortelazzo’s MS & after dinner I read aloud. A thunderstorm in evening. | |
