22 July 1896 — Villa Mier, Belluno | |
Wednesday. 22nd [July 1896]. I woke feeling very unwell & remained in bed. Aimée & Sophy each came to me & I had a bad nervous attack & violent headache—but got better afterwards. Aimée left by 1.30 train & returned to Venice to her sister Iduna Bel. Sophy sat with me & finished reading Arabella Stuart & then I got up to dinner at 8– We read Gibbon in eveng. | |
