21 September 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 21st September [1896]. I was very busy all morning typing. In the afternoon several people came to tea Iduna Bel, Adl San Felice, Mr & Mrs Curtis, Mr & Mrs Westlake & a Miss Clark, Lady Harriet & Miss Hervey. It was only after this that I heard that Olga Montenegro died this morning & as soon as I could I ran off to Aspasie. I found her calm & quiet. Mlle Nana Valmarana with her—so I did not stay long. | |
