2 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 2nd [October 1896]. I wrote letters. Adine Windischgrätz—Olga’s sister—came to call in the morning & brought us tickets for the ceremony in St Marks tomorrow & gave some for the Montalbas. After lunch I & Mrs Hanson & Kathleen went to the Montalbas & took Clara with us to S. Marks to see where our places were & then we returned home to tea & had a large party. Venice is full of strangers now & Mr & Mrs Beaumont came—also Lady H. Hervey, her daughter & a Miss Dundas—in fact quite a party.
