4 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 4th October [1896]. We all went to morning service except George after service I went off to look for the S.S. Graf Wurmbrand to meet Mlle Aspasie who was to arrive from Montenegro. I had to wait an hour & meeting George on the Piazzetta I walked with him till we saw the ship & he walked home & I went to fetch Aspasie & brought her home here for a few days. I gave her a room downstairs on the water floor & let her have her meals there quietly. Idita Bentivoglio came to call also Lady Stewart & Miss Hilda Stewart, Mrs Hulton & Iduna Bel. Had a visit from Lady & Miss Wynham passing fm Bucharest. | |
