5 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 5th October [1896]. Lady Windham & her girl came to lunch after having been taken out by the Gordons in the sandolo. I took Lady Wynham for a row & Mrs Hanson to the public gardens & there walked & then rowed outside the arsenal home by SS Giov e Paolo & the Rialto. The girls took a walk & we met again at tea time. M. Cozzi called & also Olga Mocenigo & Adine Windischgrätz & brought me a white satin bonbon bag with the names of the sposi painted on it & 3 some publications printed for the occasion as is the Venetian fashion. Aspasie had her meals in her room but came up to the drawing room after dinner for a little while. | |
