13 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 13th October [1896]. Up as usual & typing at 8. A wet day & no going out—so after lunch I & the Gordons began to copy the picture by Savoldo in the dining room. No one to tea but Mlle Aspasie. Afterwards Olga Mocenigo, Pss Adine called & brought with them a pretty young Countess Conestabile, née Sarranzo. I had known her parents & her husband. He is in the Prefettura here & they have come to settle here. | |
