25 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 25th October [1896]. Went to morning service. After lunch Nevil, Jack & I went to the Eden’s garden. There we met the Kraus family & a Mr & Lady Alice Jolliffe a pleasant newly married couple. Miss Head, Miss Clugston &c. The Gordons went off to tea with the Montalbas. I remained at the gardens & as Olga Mocenigo was there she & I left together. When I got back home I had a long visit from Iduna. | |
