26 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 26th [October 1896]. Painted in morning till Lady Lindsay came to lunch & afterwards I took her to the Eden’s garden & the Gordons went with us. She did not wish to remain out long & we took her back to the Hotel & paid her a short visit there. I went to Danieli’s Hotel to leave cards on Mr & Mrs G. Curzon who have arrived for a few days & then came home & had a visit from Lady Harriet & Miss Hervey, Baron Krauss, Olga Mocenigo, the Curtis & Iduna—quite a large party. | |
