28 October 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 28th [October 1896]. Packed—sorted & arranged my things. The Curzons came to tea at 5 also Ersilia Canevaro, Iduna Bel & the Montalbas & Mrs Curtis—& in the midst arrived Messrs Brown, Woods & Carey to have a Church Completion meeting. They waited till the rest were gone & then expounded & concluded that more designs were to be asked for from Mr E. George, & Mr Woods is to see him when he goes to England. I went to dine with the Edens—& when I got home the 4 English servants had started for England by 11.15 train—leaving me & my maid to follow tomorrow.
