| Monday. 2nd [November 1896]. Unpacked. At 12.30 I went out to see Mrs Rate who is ill in bed with gastritis & thence I went to Adeline Bedford & lunched with her & Lady Somers—& then I drove a little in Lady Lindsay’s carriage & went to Mme Rigal abt my garments & home to tea at 5. Sir Henry Thompson came to tea looking wonderfully well. Edward Duncannon called later. | |
