4 November 1896 — 3 Savile Row | |
Wednesday. 4th November [1896]. I put in order & read thro’ and corrected the letters & took them myself to Cavendish Square for Duncannon. Ola Du Cane came to lunch with me & afterwards Alice called for the answer abt the MSS. I told her I doubted our lending it—but cd not yet give a definite answer. Out at 3 in my own carriage. Drove with Ola to Pk Crescent & saw Maria who had just arrived from Inwood. Went off shopping with Ola & returned to fetch Maria later & brought her home to tea with me & sent her home in the carriage at 6.30– Dined alone. | |
