Sunday. 6th December [1896]. I did not go out all day. Kate went to St Thomas’ Church in Regent St which she said was very High—intense &c. Had a quiet day. Louis Du Cane came just before dinner to tell me that this house is bought by me—the proprietors having accepted my offer. After morning church Blanche came to see me & begged me to go in Jany to stay with them at Bessboro’. I said I wd think of it. Enid Rate & her fiancé came to tea with us & she made herself very agreeable– | |
