Sunday. 10th [January 1897]. Miss Oswell came soon after breakfast & she & I went on at comparing the MS till lunch when Constance came & Nela Du Cane– They all left after lunch. I went to church at the evening at 7 at St James’ Piccadilly & heard a sermon from Bishop Barry. A good preacher. There were Christmas Carols sang so I did not get home till 8.30 but it did not matter as I am alone. | |
