14 February 1897 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 14th [February 1897]. I went to the 9.30 service at the German Chapel at Marlboro’ House & returned home abt 10.15. I found Miss Oswell waiting for me & we worked at the correcting of the type copied of Henrys MS till lunch. Duncannon & his girl Irène came to luncheon– Miss Oswell left soon after & only Irène remained with me a little while & then she walked to her home. Soon after her mother & sister Olwen came to see me but they did not remain to 5 o’cl tea. I had a busy hour arranging & sorting some drawers. At 7 I went to evening service at St James’ Piccadilly & got home to dinner at 8.15 by myself.
