Tuesday. 16th [February 1897]. It was rather lighter & we worked in the studio Nellie & I till lunch– Mrs Borwick & Lady Gregory came to lunch & they drove with me to Tabard St to the Board Schools that Mrs Borwick might see them & make acquaintance with Mrs Hills. We found Southwark gay with flags as the P. of Wales was expected to the opening of St Saviour’s Church wh has lately been enlarged & restored. Went thro the schools & returned home abt 5. I went to dine with the Du Canes at Pk Crescent– | |
